Springhall Community resource group
Working with the community to make Springhall a great place to live, work and play for all
Springhall Community Resource Group (SCRG) is a group of local residents who have been operational in Springhall since 2011, working with the community to ensure positive changes take place in the local area.
Their aims are to:
To provide social, educational and recreational opportunities for the benefit of those in Springhall and surrounding communities.
To provide and promote access to information, resources and support services in order to improve conditions of life.
To foster and encourage community spirit in Springhall and surrounding communities.
They have been involved in a number of activities over the past seven years including hosting a monthly community drop in, working with South Lanarkshire Council to ensure the views of the community are heard in terms of environment/housing/facilities and supporting local community events and engagement activities.
The group was constituted in July 2016 and have been heavily involved in the Our Place initiative since its inception, from supporting the delivery of the baseline consultation, being a key partner in the development of the community vision and now lead on a number of local community initiatives.
