Background...

Between October 2017 and February 2018, Healthy n Happy's Transforming Communities team hit the streets of Overton, Halfway to find out more about what local residents love about their neighbourhood and what they would like to see more of.

225 local residents including 83 young people took part in the consultation, which has informed informed a local community vision and plan with key priorities that the community have identified for future action. This will now support further planning and development of local services, projects and activities in the coming years.

The consultation was funded by Aspiring Communities, an initiative funded by Scottish Government and The European Social Fund, which aims to support local people to make significant and positive changes in their local community.

Since then, local residents, groups and organisations are getting together, making plans and are taking action to make their local community a great place to live, work and play.
