Keen to get gardening and growing your own food over the summer? Don't know how to begin?

Whilst we can't run the same activities and workshops at the growing sites we support due to Covid-19, we're running a programme and competition to help get you growing at home this summer.

The amazing Grow 73 have provided us with 100 food growing starter kits to give to local residents. Perfect for all ages and experience, if you want one, simply email or call Laura on

07838 397976.

All we ask is that you keep us updated on your plants progress by sending photos to or posting on our Facebook page @healthynhappyCDT

With or without the growing starter kit, you can also join in our growing competition series which will run throughout the summer months. There are NINE mini-competitions and there is no limit to how many times you can enter, or which of them you go for - just as many as you want!

Each mini-competition has a prize to be won. All you have to do is look after your plants and submit photos relevant to each mini-competition by either emailing us at or posting on Healthy n Happy's Facebook page with the hashtags:

#growinghealthynhappy #healthynhappyplanet

Good luck and we look forward to seeing all your photos and growing successes.
